About Tummy Tucks:
A tummy tuck is a surgical procedure performed to remove excess fat and skin from the abdomen and to tighten the abdominal muscles so that it can improve the shape of your body profile.
Additionally, the results of tummy tucks can be lasting if you maintain a healthy weight after your operation; this will result in not only a physical improvement, but also improve psychological well being and self-confidence as you will look and feel great!
The procedure lasts 2 – 3 hours under general anaesthetic – meaning you will be asleep during the procedure. You will be required to stay in hospital for 1 night so we can monitor your progress. Pain relief will be available to you to suppress any pain or discomfort you are feeling, however this may last up to 14 weeks. We recommend that you avoid any strenuous activity during recovery time.
